later throughout your wednesday. abc 2 news' linda stow is live along york road in baltimore county, and, linda, this could be affecting commutes not only in the morning, but especially late in the evening. >>reporter: yeah, because that burst of snow we're supposed to get is going to change over to rain and that could make things messier today. we should be okay for the morning commute. you heard mike say. we could be getting a dusting this morning at around 9:00 this morning, so towards the tail end of the commute it could get a little messier. we actually saw some contractors across the street over at the chipolte throwing out some salt on the sidewalk. so if you're out making returns today, getting shopping done, it might be -- you might be dealing with some slick sidewalks. so you want to be careful. it's going to be similar to what we saw on christmas eve. we could get up to an inch, and then it all changing over to rain. that means later on this afternoon and tonight's commute things could get messier. and with a lot of people heading back home after christmas, this wintery mix c

in newtown connecticut. in a show of support, people in new york city marched across the brooklyn bridge carrying candles. they stopped in the middle of the bridge and they read the names of the children and adults killed in the tragedy. they also marched for tighter gun laws in the united states. gun sales spiked following the connecticut school shooting. now the demand is driving prices up as well. guns like ar-15s and m-4s are selling for as high as a thousand dollars in texas. some assault style weapons have more than doubled in price. one gun dealer says a weapon that week ago ran about $900 is now selling from 1500 to $1200. gun buyers are expecting the prices to go higher. >>> people across the country are keeping victims and survivors in the thoughts. in gaithersburg families gathered to make snowflake decorations for newtown survivors. they said they wanted to help make the town beautiful again. and they wanted to turn it into a winter wonderland instead of a place filled with so much pain. the children who cush vieived -- survived will go back to school in a different building
